Women in Leadership seminar to feature Penn State Law dean

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of Arts and Architecture's Center for Pedagogy in Arts and Design will present a Women in Leadership Seminar featuring Hari M. Osofsky, dean of Penn State Law and the School of International Affairs, from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, March 29, via Zoom. The event is open to all Penn State faculty, staff and graduate students, but registration is required here.

The Women in Leadership Seminar Series seeks to prepare women within the Penn State community to be effective leaders. Each session highlights the work and experience of a female leader from inside or outside the University community. The seminar begins with the speaker sharing her stories of leadership, followed by audience interaction and questions. 

Osofsky, who also holds the titles of distinguished professor of law, professor of international affairs, and professor of geography, is leading initiatives in mentoring, technology, and interdisciplinary and international partnerships. She has been recognized for her technology leadership by the American Bar Association’s Legal Technology Resource Center as one of the 2019 Women of Legal-Tech. She also has been very involved nationally in supporting more women and people of color to consider law school and university leadership. Osofsky received a doctorate in geography from the University of Oregon and a juris doctor degree from Yale Law School.
