Registration open for session about role of community health workers in research

“Community Health Workers as Facilitators of Research” will be presented at the next Penn State College of Medicine SMaRT Connects webinar from 1 to 2 p.m. on March 25. The REACH (Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health) Project team will discuss the role of community health workers and how they strengthen community-based research. Attendees will engage in breakout sessions to further discuss how to utilize currently available marketing materials.

SMaRT Connects, a resource of the Staffing, Mentorship and Research Training (SMaRT) Program, supports human subjects research professionals. The sessions provide timely College of Medicine research process information, professional development and networking. At each session, attendees will learn the latest tips, techniques, policies and procedures from subject matter experts who facilitate discussion, answer questions and provide guidance.
