Callback option now available for IT Service Desk callers

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State is now offering a new feature for members of the University community who need help with information technology issues.

As of this month, students, faculty and staff who call the IT Service Desk during heavy traffic times now have the option to receive a callback from the next available support agent. Previously, those calling the desk during peak hours could leave a voicemail message or wait on hold for an agent. 

The new callback feature also will allow callers to hold their place in line and get help in the timeliest manner. 

Penn State’s IT Service Desk is staffed by dedicated customer service professionals who are available 24/7 outside of University holidays. They can be reached at 814-865-HELP (4357) and via email at ITservicedesk@psu.edu. Those looking for more options can start a live chat or submit a help request ticket.
