Altoona Second Degree Nursing alumni panel set for March 2

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will present a panel of alumni speakers from the college's Second Degree Nursing Program from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 2. The program is offered online via Zoom.

Panelists will include Siobhan Bross, surgical/trauma ICU nurse at Geisinger Medical Center; Adam Burget, critical care services at Mount Nittany Medical Center; and Jennifer Scruggs, nurse case manager at Aetna.

Attendees will learn more about Penn State Altoona's Second Degree Nursing Program. Panelists will talk about their career paths and share their reasons for choosing Penn State Altoona, including their classroom and clinical experience.

The Second Degree Nursing program is an intensive 16-month program for individuals who already have a bachelor’s degree in another field. This rigorous program is offered in a cohort format starting in the fall semester. Students take 14 to 17 credits per semester for a total of 60 credits.
