Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute presents “Improving Grassroots Policy Support Through Better Public Health Message Framing" at its next Translational Science Seminar Series webinar from noon to 1 p.m. on March 18.

In this seminar, Jessica Myrick, associate professor of film-video and media studies, will address how the language and images used to describe COVID-19 in the media can shape emotional and cognitive responses to the condition as well as subsequent policy support. This talk will draw on interdisciplinary approaches spanning health behavior, media studies, political science and social psychology.

Charleen Hsuan, who offers health policy impact consultations through the institute, will moderate the seminar. Learn more and request a consultation here.

Registration is required.
