COVID vaccine questions to be answered on WPSU’s ‘Conversations Live’ on Feb. 25

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Central Pennsylvanians can have their COVID-19 vaccine questions answered live during the next broadcast of WPSU’s “Conversations Live” at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25.  

Dr. David Burwell, chief quality officer for UPMCs Altoona, Bedford, Somerset and Western Maryland, and Beth McGraw, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics at Penn State and professor and Huck Scholar in entomology, will answer viewers’ questions live on air.  

Community members can ask questions ahead of time by emailing connect@wpsu.org by calling in during the show at 1-800-543-8242 or tweeting @WPSU using the hashtag #WPSUconversations.

“Conversations LIVE: COVID-19 Vaccinations” will air on WPSU-TV and WPSU-FM, and be available on live.wpsu.org and on-demand on WPSU’s YouTube channel and the PBS streaming app.

Burwell and McGraw will answer questions about the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines currently available, the possibility of transmitting the virus after being inoculated, how vaccines will impact a return to normal and more.
