Professor Patricia Jabbeh Wesley's book on Black History Month reading list

ALTOONA, Pa. — Patricia Jabbeh Wesley’s latest book, "Praise Song for My Children: New and Selected Poems," is included on the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) 2021 Reading List for Black History Month. CLMP members such as independent presses and literary journals were asked to recommend books and magazines for the list.

Jabbeh Wesley recently had her first fictional short story, "Our Casualties," published in "Vox Populi," an online magazine on politics, poetry, and nature. "Our Casualties" is based on the civil war in her home country of Liberia.

Jabbeh Wesley is a professor of English and African Literature at Penn State Altoona.
