Yes. There are two rounds of testing required for all students.
Students from all campuses must have a negative COVID-19 test result from a University provided test on file prior to, and within 72 hours of, their return to their campus community. Students who do not fulfill this testing requirement are prohibited from moving in to on-campus housing, entering campus facilities and participating in on-campus activities and programming, including in-person classes.
In addition, during the first two weeks of in-person learning (Feb. 15 to Feb. 26), the University will conduct universal re-testing of all students. This second round of universal testing is in addition to the above required initial testing of all students and does not fulfill the initial testing requirement.
These requirements apply to all students, including those taking a fully remote/online course load if they live in Centre County or within 20 miles of a Penn State campus.
