Virtual summer learning experience
College of Education students are invited to learn about a virtual summer learning experience teaching emergent bilingual learners. The summer courses and practice teaching will allow students to complete some of the courses toward the Teaching ESL certificate.

Entrepreneurial contest offers funding for startups
The 2021 Inc. U Competition application deadline is Feb. 8. Interested students may apply online. The top six student teams will pitch their startup to a panel of judges in a televised competition for a chance to win up to $30,000 in funding. Learn more here[CJR1] .
Summer Founders program accepting applications
The Summer Founders program will be all-virtual in summer 2021 and is now accepting applications. The program provides $15,000 to entrepreneurial teams with at least one Penn State student founder from any campus to work on their startup, social good or nonprofit idea over the summer.

Herr Clinic promotes mental health and wellness
The Counselor Education program at the Dr. Edwin L. Herr Clinic aims to provide strengths-based counseling services to promote mental health and wellness for the Penn State Community. The Herr Clinic delivers free services by both doctoral and master’s level students in the Counselor Education program.
The Herr Clinic is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Email herrclinic@psu.edu to set up an appointment.
Apply for SHAPE MATTERS workshop
The Center for Science and the Schools (CSATS) Shaping Authentic Practices by Engaging in Modeling of a Topic with Teachers to Explore Research in Science (SHAPE MATTERS) workshop funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Science Education Partnership Award is now accepting applications. The workshop focuses on molecular modeling and is targeted to secondary life science and chemistry teachers. Learn more here.
