He succeeds David Rose, who retired in November after a 34-year career with the University.

The assistant vice president works in partnership with the associate vice president to provide leadership for all A&BS units, which include Housing and Food Services, the Bryce Jordan Center, Hospitality Services, the id+ Card Office, the University Park Airport, the Multimedia and Print Center, Transportation Services, and General Stores.

Most recently, Snyder served for eight years as director of business and finance for the Bryce Jordan Center and Hospitality Services. In this capacity, he directed the accounting and business operations of both operations, which have combined annual operating budgets of more than $40 million.

Snyder looks forward to new challenges and learning opportunities in his new role. “I’ve been with Penn State A&BS for almost 24 years, and I’ve seen so much change in that time,” he said. “I see change as creating new opportunities to grow and learn as a person and as an organization, and I am so looking forward to our future in A&BS."

“Throughout my career in A&BS, I have had the privilege of working with many great people, and I’m excited about the opportunity to build new relationships — to get to know new people and learning what they do in our great organization,” he concluded.
