Global Programs extends nomination deadline for 2021 awards program

Community invited to nominate outstanding faculty, staff and students through Feb. 1

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Global Programs has extended the nomination deadline for all 2021 awards to Feb. 1. Members of the Penn State community are invited to nominate outstanding faculty, students and staff members for recognition through the following awards.   

The Advancing a Global Penn State Awards recognize outstanding contributions of individuals and academic units across the University, including the Commonwealth Campuses, who have demonstrated success toward achieving the goals of a global Penn State. Awards are presented in five categories; complete award descriptions are available  online.  

The W. LaMarr Kopp International Faculty Achievement Award recognizes faculty members at Penn State who make extraordinary contributions to the advancement of the international mission of the University. This award recognizes faculty for excellence in leadership and support for international education, service to the international community, and international research. 

One full-time faculty member will be selected to receive the award in 2021. The award will be presented at the annual University-wide Faculty and Staff Awards Ceremony. 

The Ardeth and Norman Frisbey International Student Award recognizes international students (holding non-immigrant status) who are enrolled in an academic program at any Penn State campus and have demonstrated exemplary service and contributions that further international understanding at the University and beyond.
