'Conversations LIVE: The 2020 Election' to air at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Candidate interviews, election resources and a special “Conversations LIVE” focusing on the 2020 election are all available from WPSU Penn State — central Pennsylvania’s public media station.

Community members can visit the WPSU vote website for candidate interviews from WPSU-FM news, digital videos about lesser known statewide races, election news, important voting dates and other information, like how to properly vote by mail.

WPSU’s “Conversations LIVE” also will air at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, and will feature Terry Madonna, director of the Franklin and Marshall College Poll, and Candis Watts Smith, associate professor of political science and African American studies in the College of the Liberal Arts, who will be answering viewer questions about the election.

Madonna and Smith will discuss how the use of mail-in voting and drop boxes will affect the election, how opinions are being influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the important issues for Pennsylvania voters.

WPSU-TV serves one of the largest geographic coverage areas in the nation, reaching 515,000 households in 24 counties of central Pennsylvania. WPSU-FM serves more than 450,000 listeners in 13 central counties.
