Gill Hampden-Thompson, who received her doctorate in educational theory and policy from the College of Education, is now head of the School of Education at University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. She is a former advisee of David Baker, professor of education (educational theory and policy) and sociology, and Suet-ling Pong, professor of education, demography and sociology.
