Oct. 8 Q&A recorded session with President Barron now available to view online

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The recorded Oct. 8 Q&A session with Penn State President Eric Barron is now available to view online. The Q&A was the first live webinar in a new series of discussions with faculty members about Penn State’s ongoing response to the coronavirus pandemic and other related critical topics. During the conversation, Barron responded to questions submitted in advance related to topics spanning surveillance testing, contact tracing, quarantine and isolation, mental health, spring semester, academic matters and more.

The next session will take place on Thursday, Oct. 15, and additional details and the Zoom webinar link will be forthcoming in Penn State News.

Cara Exten, assistant professor of nursing and member of the COVID-19 Operations Control Center who is leading the University’s surveillance testing effort, joined Barron during the Q&A as a moderator and to provide an epidemiological perspective to the conversation.

The webinar series is part of continued efforts by University leaders to share information and answer questions from the community throughout the pandemic, including through virtual town halls and weekly faculty newsletters. While the focus of the series will primarily be on academic matters, all employees are welcome to join online.
