Faculty and instructors asked to submit questions in advance of Oct. 8 Q&A session

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Beginning at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, Penn State President Eric Barron will host a live webinar as part of a new series to answer questions from faculty members about Penn State’s ongoing response to the coronavirus pandemic and other related critical topics. The next few sessions will take place on Thursdays, and specific details for future sessions will be forthcoming. While the focus will primarily be on academic matters, all employees are welcome to join online.

This week’s webinar on Oct. 8 will be a Q&A format and take place from 4 to 5 p.m. and will be accessible via Zoom at this link: https://psu.zoom.us/j/93856841060. While registration is not required in advance, faculty members and instructors are asked to submit questions in advance using Google Forms at: https://forms.gle/quF8Z46E1FrTex1P9.

Cara Exten, assistant professor of nursing in the College of Nursing and member of the COVID-19 Operations Control Center who is leading the University’s surveillance testing effort, will join Barron as a moderator and to provide an epidemiological perspective to the conversation.

The live session has a maximum of 500 concurrent participants and sessions will be recorded for later viewing.

The webinar series is part of continued efforts by University leaders to share information and answer questions from the community throughout the pandemic, including through virtual town halls and weekly faculty newsletters.
