Reflections from living in Sweden during COVID-19

Lara Fowler, senior lecturer in the School of International Affairs in Penn State Law, shares her and her family’s experiences living in Sweden as visiting scholars during the pandemic.

In the first post, Fowler describes the unique dynamics of Sweden, including its health care system, citizens’ trust in government, and population demographics. In the second post, Fowler provides a chronological description of Sweden’s response to the pandemic, including her husband’s personal experience with what was most likely COVID-19.
