Faculty, staff virtual Town Hall event set for Sept. 23

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State leaders will host a virtual Town Hall event at 3 p.m. on Sept. 23 to answer University faculty and staff questions about the return to campus and Penn State’s ongoing response to the coronavirus.

The hourlong event will be streamed live at https://LiveEvents.psu.edu, and will be archived online for later viewing.

Joining Penn State President Eric Barron for the Town Hall will be:

  • Nick Jones, executive vice president and provost;
  • Dr. Kevin Black, interim dean of the College of Medicine;
  • Lorraine Goffe, vice president for Human Resources; and
  • Kelly Wolgast, director of the Penn State COVID-19 Operations Control Center.

Questions can be submitted in advance anonymously via Google Forms at: https://forms.gle/Jqpi8B5ojViHoet28.

Faculty and staff members with specific questions pertaining to their personal situation or circumstance should pose them to their immediate supervisor, unit leader or human resources representative, as panelists will only address questions of a broad nature.

Since the start of the pandemic, Penn State leaders have hosted a number of town hall events, including a pair of virtual town halls for students and faculty and staff on March 24, a follow-up event on May 19, another pair for students and faculty and staff on June 22 and one for the University community on July 31.
