Funding proposals invited
The Equal Opportunity Planning Committee (EOPC) invites Penn State faculty and staff to submit proposals for EOPC funding to support the University’s diversity, inclusion and equity efforts and advance Penn State's Strategic Plan with investments in programs and ideas. Funding categories include: campus climate, unit climate, curriculum, faculty and staff recruiting, faculty and staff retention, leadership development, student recruiting, student retention and graduation, and organizational change. The deadline to submit proposals for summer 2021 is Friday, Dec. 4, 2020. The deadline to submit proposals for the 2021–22 academic year is Friday, Jan. 22, 2021. New program promotes undergraduate research
Undergraduate Research and Fellowships Mentoring (URFM) is seeking applications for ambassadors for a new program that promotes undergraduate research, beginning in fall 2020. Applicants are welcome from all academic disciplines and Penn State campuses. The Undergraduate Research Ambassadors program is a volunteer opportunity for undergraduates who are passionate about promoting research at Penn State and helping others find their path. Interested students should submit the following materials to URFM at urfm@psu.edu: a cover letter; a current resume or CV; an unofficial transcript; and one letter of recommendation from a research mentor that speaks to the student’s experience as a researcher and student leader. Mentors can directly email URFM with their letter. The first round of interviews is underway for the program but applications will still be accepted on a rolling basis.
