UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — When Penn State University Libraries hosts its third virtual Trivia Night on Zoom, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, participants will face a history test. The evening’s questions all will be related to Penn State historical markers.

As suggested by prior Libraries Trivia Night participants, the program will cover themes from the blue-and-white cast-iron historical markers located on the University's campuses across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and will draw from topics about research, the campuses, and diversity and equity. Angel Diaz, University archivist, and John Patishnock Jr., associate director of alumni outreach communications, Penn State Alumni Association, will both emcee the trivia portion of the evening.

Facebook Event on the University Libraries Facebook Page includes details on how to register for the event in advance, which is recommended. Registrants will receive a confirmation email with information about how to join the live-streamed event.

Historical markers on Penn State campuses call attention to the University’s rich tradition of achievement in higher education and in service to society. By including them as a theme for Libraries Trivia Night, event coordinators hope this evening will provide another opportunity for alumni and friends of the University to come together for a fun, interactive game that celebrates several of Penn State's and Penn Staters’ contributions toward progress and innovation.
