Abington invites incoming students to join virtual summer events

Penn State Abington is offering many opportunities for incoming students to meet the campus community virtually this summer.  

“The Penn State Abington staff, faculty and current students are so excited to engage with new students virtually throughout the summer. We are looking forward to helping students feel connected to the campus community through Zoom meetings, webinars, and online programs and events,” Kate Brice, coordinator of New Student Orientation and Transition Programs, said. “The Abington community wants the new students to know that WE ARE all here for them and ready to help with their transition to this amazing campus.”  

Brice encourages incoming students to join the Penn State Abington-Class of 2024 Facebook group. 

Students and their families are invited to participate in these Abington live Zoom opportunities throughout the summer: 

Mindful Mondays: Meet the Health and Wellness team including the campus nurse, case manager, and counseling and psychological services.

Take Charge Tuesdays: Learn more about how to achieve academic success and tips on career goals. Hosted by the Center for Career and Professional Development and Academic Affairs.

Walk-in Wednesdays: The Business of Being a Student: Speak with representatives from the offices of Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, and the Center for Student Achievement, Disability Services, Business Services, and the bookstore.

Think About It Thursdays: Consider your options for participating in extracurricular activities on and off campus. Meet the staff and find answers to your questions with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI), athletics and intramurals, Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL), Housing and Food Services, Residence Life, and the Office of Global Programs.
