What is big data and how could it make an impact in the COVID-19 pandemic? Big data means having real-time access to current and historical data from multiple sources and the ability to analyze those data in real time. Right now, big data could help identify potential clues about the impact of COVID-19, however it has been largely absent in our nation’s response to the pandemic, according to experts.
