UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A promotional video created by students in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications for the Penn State Student Engagement Network earned a Silver Telly Award as part of an international competition.

The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens — attracting some 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents each year.

The recognition represents a sweep of major awards for which the video was nominated this year. It previously earned recognition during the Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts and through the Communicator Awards, coordinated by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts .

The student-produced video provides an overview of opportunities available at Penn State through the Student Engagement Network. It focuses on three different students and the variety of ways they pursued their passions at the University as a compliment to classroom education.

Members of the CommAgency team that produced the award-winning video and additional content were: director Leo Massey, producer Emma Furry, and videographer/editors Kai Jiang, Jessica Luo and JonMichael Pereira.

CommAgency is the Bellisario College’s student-run production agency that regularly works with other Penn State administrative units, centers and colleges — providing hands-on experience for the students and content for the clients.
