Penn State extends move out for some campuses

June 01, 2020

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — To accommodate students living in areas who will soon have their travel restrictions relaxed, Penn State has extended the move-out period for a number of campuses through June 21.

Effective immediately, students at Abington, Brandywine and University Park campuses who have received an invitation from Penn State to reserve a move-out date may choose a time slot through June 21.

Students at Berks campus may move out through June 19.

The move-out period for Altoona, Beaver, Behrend, Greater Allegheny, Harrisburg, Hazleton, Mont Alto and Schuylkill campuses continues through June 14.

The decision to extend the move-out period for each campus was based on the number of students remaining who have not checked out of their residence halls.

Students returning to campus and those accompanying them are reminded to wear face masks and practice social distancing. Students and guests who have had COVID-19 or have been exposed to the disease cannot return to campus until they have completed their 14-day self-quarantine period and have no further symptoms. Further, individuals with a temperature of 100.4 or above are not allowed to participate in move-out activities.
