Marissa Boyd, 2020-2021 Student Government Association vice president, wrote: “I used to be a shy student in my freshman year, but once I joined the Student Government Association, Matt made me come out of my shell by showing me I could do more.  He showed me that I have a voice and that I am capable of doing great things.”

Harshil Patel, 2020-2021 SGA president, stated:  "Matt took me out of my comfort zone, instilled confidence and motivated me to get involved on campus.”

Student Tabitha Boyd said: "Matt Nied works extremely hard to help every student in any way possible to see them reach their full potential. He looks for new ways to do better during events and planning them. Matt has helped me to get involved on campus — more than I thought I would have been. He was an excellent coach and helped the Soccer Team thrive both academically and on the field.”

The Employee of the Month is a recognition award created by Wafa to distinguish staff members who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving the campus.
