Section of Pollock Road to be closed starting May 11

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Starting Monday, May 11, through Friday, June 26, a section of Pollock Road between Shortlidge Road and Bigler Road will be closed for facade repair on the Millennium Science Complex at University Park.

A section of sidewalk on the north side of Pollock Road also will be closed, but pedestrian access will be maintained on the south side of Pollock Road. Access to the service parking area behind Thomas Building will remain available. 

This work will impact the following CATA services:

  • The Millennium Science Building and White Building bus stops will be closed. Temporary bus stops will be placed opposite of the Nittany Community Center and Hastings Road bus stops.
  • Community routes eastbound on Curtin Road will be detoured to turn right on Bigler Road, service the Computer Building, turn left on Hastings Road, service the Nittany Community Building and Hastings Road temporary stops, turn right on University Drive, exit to College Avenue, and resume normal routing.
  • The Blue Loop will be detoured to turn right on University Drive, left on Curtin Road, left on Bigler, left on Hastings, service the Nittany Community Center and Hastings Road temporary bus stops, turn right on University Drive, exit to College Avenue, and resume normal routing.
