Penn State Smeal names student marshals for spring 2020 commencement

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Smeal College of Business recognizes graduating seniors each spring as student marshals. A student is selected to represent the college, each of six academic departments, and the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC).

The eight students who have been selected as marshals for spring 2020 commencement are listed below, with name, hometown, major, minor (if applicable), and select distinctions:

College Marshal: Faith Hatchard

  • Distinctions: Sapphire Leadership Academic Program, Presidential Leadership Academy

Accounting Marshal: Cecelia Minnick

  • Hometown: Millersville, Pennsylvania
  • Major: Accounting
  • Minor: Information Systems Management and Legal Environment of Business
  • Distinctions: Schreyer Scholar, Smeal Student Mentor

Finance Marshal: Siena Salvaggio

  • Hometown: Orefield, Pennsylvania

Management & Organization Marshal: Robert “Jake” Griggs

Marketing Marshal: Ziqi Yin
