Webinar: Leveraging resources to support small business resiliency

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a free, 90-minute webinar at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs seeking recommendations on the path forward in light of the COVID-19 crisis.  

The webinar, “Business Resiliency: Adapting in Times of Change” will feature presenters from Invent Penn State, Happy Valley LaunchBox Powered by PNC Bank, the Penn State Law Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, and Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP).

During the session, presenters will share resources, programs, and technical assistance services that could help startups and small businesses adapt and survive during and after the coronavirus pandemic. 

Webinar attendees will learn how to leverage:

  • Penn State Small Business Development Center's consulting services, including business planning, market research, financing/loan packaging, marketing, managing employees, and other areas of management and technical support  
  • Invent Penn State's network of entrepreneurial resources, programs, and Innovation Hubs 
  • Penn State Law Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic's legal counseling, document drafting and negotiation assistance with respect to commitments under loans, leases and other contracts 
  • Ben Franklin Technology Partners' investment capital opportunities, business training, and support programs for emerging tech startups and small manufacturers 
  • Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program (PennTAP)'s energy assessments and grants for equipment/facility upgrades available to manufacturing companies
