Penn State Altoona invites public to a virtual spring Student Showcase

ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona, supported by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, will host the spring 2020 Student Showcase virtually through Zoom on Friday, May 1. The event is free and open to the public.

The campus community and general public will have the opportunity to see firsthand how Penn State Altoona students are using knowledge from the classroom to help enhance many organizations’ operations, products and services. From their homes, students will share their research, internship and capstone project presentations live via Zoom in the areas of business, electro-mechanical engineering technology, rail transportation engineering, and security and risk analysis.

There will also be links to the virtual Sigma Beta Delta induction ceremony and pre-recorded presentations and performances from the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fair. Winners of the Pechter Business Plan Competition will be posted, as well.

A complete schedule of the day’s presentations may be found on the Student Showcase page with student names, project titles, and Zoom links to view the live presentations.
