UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Office of Student Activities, a unit of Penn State Student Affairs, is offering a remote learning course open to all current Penn State students called Leadership Education and Development (LEAD). LEAD is geared toward students interested in learning valuable leadership skills.

The online leadership program is designed to help students learn more about themselves, others and gain general understanding of important leadership concepts through self-paced online modules. After completing all of the required modules, students will earn a noncredit certificate of completion.

LEAD has four required learning modules: Engaging in Leadership, Leadership Theories, Ethical Decision Making, and Multicultural Competency. Each module looks at a different aspect of leadership and contains interactive elements for students to reflect on their own leadership experiences.

There is no cost to participate in the certificate program, and students interested in receiving the certificate must complete all four modules.

In addition, the program offers six additional optional modules, geared toward best practices in running a student organization: Budgeting, Marketing, Meeting Management, Parliamentary Procedure, Time Management, and Transitioning Leaders and Organizations.

To sign up, complete the registration. For questions, contact mbk5712@psu.edu.
