UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This year’s virtual Undergraduate Exhibition will be accessible to the members of Penn State community interested in learning about the undergraduate research being conducted on all academic fronts at the University.

The public exhibition is typically held over the course of several hours at the HUB-Robeson Center at the University Park campus each April. This year, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, student research posters, presentations and performances will all be viewable online over a 48-hour period from April 15-17. Those with Penn State Access Accounts will be able to log in and view students’ research presentations.

When the Exhibition opens at 4 p.m. April 15, a link will be posted on the home page of undergradresearch.psu.edu. Student research presentations will be accessible until 4 p.m. April 17.

The new virtual format provides a unique opportunity for students and faculty at all campuses to participate or view student work.

Research and accompanying presentations will be housed in Microsoft OneDrive. For research posters, students will be uploading their posters with an 8-minute narration: 5 minutes for a presentation of the poster and another 3 minutes for answering a series of questions. Oral presentations will be a 5- to 8-minute-long narration with a maximum of 10 slides. Performances will be uploaded as a video and also be 5 to 8 minutes long.

The Engagement Experience Poster Exhibition will also be available during the 48-hour timeframe. These posters highlight student achievements in engaged learning experiences.

The Undergraduate Exhibition is coordinated by the Research Opportunities for Undergraduates program, which is part of Penn State Undergraduate Education, the academic administrative unit that provides leadership and coordination for University-wide programs and initiatives in support of undergraduate teaching and learning at Penn State.
