Georgene Searfoss, a 1989 graduate of the College of Education with a master of arts in counselor education, wrote a book titled “Longings of the Heart: The Story of Elsie Machle White” that was published by Amazon in December. It is a nonfiction story of a woman born in China to Presbyterian missionaries and educated at Wooster University.
