UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa — With an abundance of caution due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Penn's Woods Music Festival advisory board has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Penn’s Woods Music Festival. Gerardo Edelstein, music festival director said, "We are exploring options to bring music into your homes with our festival encore performances."

“We recognize that the arts are essential to our quality of life in the community,” said David Frego director of the Penn State School of Music. “The Penn’s Woods Music Festival is committed to be a responsible partner for both musician and audience in this uncertain time.”

All PWMF festival events for May and June 2020, including Penn’sWoods4Kids, Penn’sWoods4U, and Music in the Gardens, have been canceled. Members of the advisory board will continue to look for a time in the near future when live performances can be rescheduled.

"Our mission is to share great music, even if you cannot join us in the Recital Hall," said Gerardo Edelstein, music director of the Penn’s Woods Music Festival. "We will be announcing how you can stay connected with the music festival through previously recorded and live performances in the coming months."

"We are committed to ensuring the longevity and sustainability of the PWMF, and we thank you for your patience, understanding and support at this time," said Carol White, president of the Penn’s Woods Music Festival advisory board. "Until that time, we hope for the best possible health for our PWMF families."
