Penn State Centre Stage cancels summer productions

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Centre Stage has canceled the benefit event "One Night on Broadway," and its summer season.

"Sadly, and out of an abundance of caution due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 summer season," said artistic director Rick Lombardo. "Although we recognize that it might be possible for public events to restart in the mid-summer months, the actual work of creating the season would require us to have summer staff on the Penn State campus doing things like building sets and costumes well before we expect those activities will be possible again."

Penn State Centre Stage will automatically refund patrons who had purchased tickets to any of the events. Patrons will be refunded the original purchase price of their tickets, excluding service fees. Ticket refunds will be provided by the methods used for purchases. Tickets do not need to be returned.

If paid by cash or check, a refund check will be mailed to the ticket purchaser within two weeks. If paid by credit card, the card used will be refunded the purchase amount. The credit should be reflected on customers’ accounts within three days.

Patrons with questions should phone 814-863-0255 or email artstix@psu.edu.

Arts ticket centers closed for walk-up services
