In a series of announcements beginning March 12 and continuing through March 14, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has taken action to close all non-essential public spaces, including schools, in Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks and Chester counties in response to the global coronavirus pandemic. As a result, Penn State’s Brandywine and Great Valley campuses are closed, effective immediately. These campuses join Penn State Abington, which also closed this week as a result of the governor’s action.
At Penn State Brandywine and Great Valley, faculty will continue to teach their courses remotely, and students will continue their remote studies, in keeping with the university-wide decision to move to remote instruction. For students who are unable to leave on-campus residence halls at Penn State Brandywine, arrangements are being made, and more information will follow.
