Update: Transportation Services operations during remote-learning period

Updates include on-campus parking, Fleet Operations, and CATA bus service

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — With the announcement that Penn State will host all classes remotely beginning Monday, March 16, through Friday, April 3, Transportation Services and CATA have shared the following update regarding parking and transportation operations.

PARKING ACCESS/PARKING OFFICE HOURS

As the University will remain open and many employees will still be coming to work, all normal campus parking regulations will remain in effect. The Parking Office will continue to observe normal office hours.

FLEET OPERATIONS HOURS

Fleet Operations will continue to observe normal building and front counter hours.

CATABUS SERVICE

CATABUS service will continue to operate on its reduced service schedule until Thursday, April 2.

During this time, all Community Service trips will operate on all routes except for the shaded trips on the HM, HU, NE, NV, RC, RP, VE, VN and WE Routes, which will not operate. On campus, the Blue Loop will operate Monday through Friday only, and the Red Link will operate Monday through Saturday only; there will be no White Loop or Green Link service.

CATA’s regular full service schedule is anticipated to resume Friday, April 3.

CAMPUS SHUTTLE AND HERSHEY SHUTTLE SERVICE

The Campus Shuttle via Beaver Avenue will remain out of service, but the Campus Shuttle via College Avenue and the Hershey Shuttle will continue to operate on their regular schedules.
