Inaugural College of Education Graduate Student Showcase to be held April 3

The College of Education will hold its inaugural Graduate Student Showcase from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3, in Chambers Building. This event will provide graduate students the opportunity to share their work with members of the college community.

The showcase will be organized into three sessions:

  • Traditional paper presentations. Students will present a research study for 10 minutes, with 10 minutes for feedback from the audience.
  • Research Shark Tanks. Students will present in-progress work, pilot studies or well-constructed plans for research for 3-5 minutes, with 10 minutes for a diverse faculty panel to provide feedback and converse about the presentation with the presenter in front of an audience.
  • Poster/paper session. Students will present and get feedback on all types of work, including class papers, literature reviews, robust research, pilot studies, new ideas they are working on and more. This session will be for an hour and financial assistance can be provided to help print posters if needed.

Faculty members interested in attending or participating should register here. Graduate students interested in presenting or attending should register here.

For more information about the showcase, contact J.D. McCausland at jdm5625@psu.edu or Greg Kelly at gkelly@psu.edu.

The College of Education Graduate Student Council (CoEGSC) will be hosting a networking reception with hors d'oeuvre immediately following the showcase, at 5 p.m. in the atrium of Chambers Building. This networking reception will allow graduate students within the College of Education to connect and collaborate with each other to foster new relationships.
