The deadline to submit 2019 claims for your Health Care and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Expenses must have been incurred during the 2019 calendar year and can only be used for qualifying medical expenses or qualifying dependent care expenses for you or your dependents.
For the Health Care FSA, there is a $500 carry over provision from year to year. If you are enrolled in the Health Care FSA for 2020, leftover 2019 funds up to $500 will be available after March 31. Any funds over $500 not used by the deadline will be forfeited.
For the Dependent Care FSA, there is no carry over provision. Any funds not used by the deadline will be forfeited.
Employees can submit claims by visiting the HealthEquity member portal. While logged in, you can view your current balance and plan information. Employees with questions should contact HealthEquity at 1-866-346-5800.
