UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — THON Weekend 2020 is almost here. Last month, THON and the Penn State Alumni Association announced their partnership for the annual pep rally, which will be highlighted by another arena White Out.

This is the second year the Alumni Association has partnered with THON for the pep rally.

Last year’s White Out was met with surprise to all of the spectators in the Bryce Jordan Center during the pep rally event where the Penn State Alumni Association distributed 12,000 white shirts to those in attendance.

This year, alumni can show their support from home by purchasing a special anniversary edition shirt and tuning into the pep rally livestream on 46 LIVE. Penn State alumni worldwide now total more than 700,000, with 2020 marking 150 years since the Penn State Alumni Association was founded.

Shirts can be purchased for $15 through the online THON store, with 100% of proceeds benefiting THON.

Alumni Association-supported dancers

Penn State alumni will represent the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (DMAIG) and dance at THON. Alumni dancer couple one features Melissa Martin, 2019, and Conor Boston, 2019, with dancer couple two consisting of Ryan Lawrence, 2019, and Julia Sherwin, 2019.
