UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The students of Penn State's Indian Culture and Language Club (ICLC), in association with the Indian Grad Student Association (IGSA), will host "Pongal," a multi-day festival celebrated in Southern India, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 16 in Alumni Hall of the HUB-Robeson Cultural Center.

Pongal, celebrated as a thanksgiving ceremony for the year’s harvest, is also the name of the dish that is consumed during the festival. ICLC has put together a free, public event to share the core expressions of the celebration — togetherness, gratitude and joy — offering fun games, South Indian snacks, and music.
