DuBois women's basketball gets another big win at home

DUBOIS, Pa. — The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team had another dominant performance over visiting Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 1. Taking a 31-18 lead going into the half, DuBois held Greater Allegheny to just 25% shooting from the field in the first half, including only 1 of 5 from the 3-point line. DuBois ended the game with a 72-52 victory.

Malliah Schreck (Emlenton, Pennsylvania) had her 15th double-double of the season as she dropped in 15 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Sydney Shaw (Tyrone, Pennsylvania) added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Lady Lions, and Lexey Shick (Rimersburg, Pennsylvania) had eight points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals.

With the win, DuBois secured sole possession of third place in the Penn State University Athletic Conference's West Division behind only Penn State Fayette and Penn State Beaver. Penn State DuBois will travel to Penn State Beaver for a road game at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4.
