STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The Woskob Family Gallery hosts monthly First Friday events in conjunction with the Downtown State College Improvement District. Held from 5-8 p.m., the events are free and include all-age appropriate art-making activities inspired by the exhibitions on view in the gallery on the first Friday of each month.

The gallery's First Friday event on Feb. 7 will feature New York City-based artist and museum educator Rosemarie Fiore. Fiore will lead a science, technology, engineering, art and math-based workshop in which participants will use art and engineering principles to create their own drawing tools. After building and seeing what their drawing tool can do, attendees can take their creation home at the end of the night.

First Friday activities are always free and suitable for all ages, with refreshments served.

The Woskob Family Gallery, located on Allen Street in downtown State College, is a space for contemporary arts, culture and community engagement, sponsored by Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture. For more information, visit woskobfamilygallery.psu.edu.
