Nominations being accepted for Disability Access Initiative through Feb. 4

University students and employees are eligible to serve on new working group to address equity and inclusion

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Disability Access Initiative, a new working group at Penn State to address disability equity and inclusion, is accepting membership nominations through Feb. 4.

Students, faculty and staff at any Penn State campus who would like to nominate a University student or employee, including themselves, for membership on the working group should complete a nomination form.

Meeting once per month, the Disability Access Initiative will collaborate with other offices to create evidence-informed recommendations crafted in consideration of benchmarking, best practices, research, and impact data, to address organizational or structural barriers to inclusion and promote a welcoming climate.

Questions may be directed to Sonia DeLuca Fernández, associate vice provost in the Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Equity, at szd197@psu.edu.
