ABINGTON, Pa. — One Penn State Abington student identifies as homeless. Another lost his job and can’t feed his family. Others don’t have the money for public transportation to come to class.
All are true stories of Abington students — and there are more — who live with housing, food and transportation insecurity. But these students experienced some relief through the Abington Student Emergency Assistance Fund (SEAF).
Gifts this #GivingTuesday (Dec. 3) will be allocated to the SEAF, which supports the LionShare Food Pantry, helps purchase textbooks, and offsets unexpected urgent needs of students who otherwise may think their only option is to withdraw from school.
