UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Career Services, a unit of Student Affairs, is seeking donations for the Professional Attire Closet. Specifically, the office is asking for small-sized professional clothing and monetary donations to assist with the dry cleaning of donated clothes.

Launched in 2015, the Professional Attire Closet is available to all Penn State Students in need of professional apparel for interviews, networking events or other professional events. Donations of gently used professional attire can be taken to drop boxes in the Bank of America Career Services Center, Hintz Family Alumni Center or the Business Building.

Monetary donations can be made via check. More information on monetary donations can be found on the Professional Attire Closet website.

“The Professional Attire Closet served close to 1,000 students this past year. It is a wonderful way for people to donate professional clothing to students who plan to attend career fairs or have interviews,” said Matt Stein, program coordinator at Career Services. “The Professional Attire Closet provides students the opportunity to select one complete outfit at no charge. Students have said that this is an incredible resource to have on campus and they wish they had known about it sooner.”

Consider a donation to the Professional Attire Closet as a way to help students move forward in their career development. The Professional Attire Closet is in partnership with the University Park Undergraduate Association and sponsored by Kohl’s and Balfurd Cleaners.
