Student Programming Association presents Gryffin in concert

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Student Programming Association presents Gryffin at 9 p.m. on Sept. 28 in the HUB-Robeson Center’s Alumni Hall. This show is a collaboration with Penn State Homecoming.

Gryffin is a Los Angeles-based DJ and producer, combining pop and electronic music respectively. In 2016, he introduced himself to the industry with his debut single “Heading Home” with Josef Salvat, which reached No. 1 on Spotify’s U.S. and Global Viral charts.

In late 2018, he released an extended play, "Gravity: Pt. 1," which is the first part of his upcoming debut album "Gravity." The extended play includes the viral song “Nobody Compares to You,” featuring Katie Pearlman.

Other successful songs vary from “Tie Me Down,” featuring Elley Duhé, to “Remember,” with Zohara, a song that reached Billboard’s Dance Club Songs charts and received praise from Dutch artist Tiesto.

Gryffin plans to release the second part of his album, "Gravity: Pt. 2," which will include indie and dance collaborations.

The concert is free for all students with a valid Penn State University Park student photo ID and is funded by the student-initiated fee.

The concert will mark the beginning of Homecoming Week 2019. For more information about the different events happening throughout the week, please visit http://www.homecoming.psu.edu.
