Men’s golf

Allegheny College Invitational – seventh place (324/320)

Grove City College Fall Invitational – 10th place (325)

Penn State Altoona Invitational – third place (322)

Mount Aloysius College Invitational – second place (308)

Through the Penn State Altoona men’s golf team’s first five rounds of the season, junior Jimmy Gillespie (Glen Mills, Pennsylvania/Garnet Valley) is averaging a team-best 78.2 per round.

Penn State Altoona 4, D’Youville College 2

Sophomore forward Jon Kadoch (Wallingford, Pennsylvania/Strath Haven) had a goal and three assists to help the Lions to their first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference win of the season on Saturday, Sept. 21, against D’Youville. His total of three assists is tied for the program’s single-game record.

Men’s tennis

Senior Andrew Ung (Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania/Chichester) and sophomore Jaydan Jacobs (St. Thomas, Virgin Islands/Charlotte Amalie) each have a singles win in the Lions’ first two matches of the fall season.

Women’s golf

Penn State Altoona Invitational – fourth place (94)

Mount Aloysius College Invitational – sixth place (97)

Sophomore Penn State Altoona golfer Katie Pupillo (Collegeville, Pennsylvania/Perkiomen Valley) is averaging 95.5 per round through her first two events of the season, including a career-low 94 to come in fourth place out of 15 individuals in the Penn State Altoona Invitational on Sept. 21.

Sophomore forward Sadie McConnell (New Enterprise, Pennsylvania/Northern Bedford) has been heating up for the Penn State Altoona women’s soccer team, as she has scored five goals and added three assists in the team’s past four games.

Senior Brayley Lewis (Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania/Bishop Guilfoyle) went 2-0 in No. 1 singles and 2-0 in No. 1 doubles in the Lady Lions’ last two matches, helping her team to wins over Division II opponent Frostburg State and AMCC foe Penn State Behrend.
