DUNMORE, Pa. — Each year, Academic Affairs at Penn State Scranton hosts a special reception for new and returning adjunct faculty members.

The Annual Adjunct Meet and Greet provides new and returning adjunct instructors with information on campus services and resources and to help support their success at Penn State Scranton. It also gives them an opportunity to meet and mingle with other campus staff and faculty in a more relaxed and conversational setting.

Organized by Suzanne Morgan, administrative support assistant in Academic Affairs, the event is always very well attended.

This year, attendees included adjuncts and full-time faculty and staff, as well as campus Chancellor Marwan Wafa; Chief Academic Officer H. Durell Johnson; program coordinators; and representatives from the Campus Bookstore, Learning Center, Instructional Design and Technology, Library, Counseling Services, Student Programs and other areas.

A formal presentation on the Student Engagement Network and fellowships was given by Associate Director of Student Services and Engagement Matthew Nied.
