Penn State Lion Surplus to hold fall auctions

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Looking for a great deal on a computer or car? Check out two auctions this fall hosted by Penn State Lion Surplus. 

The fall Computer and Electronics Auction will take place on Sept. 26 beginning at 5 p.m., and the Vehicle and Equipment Auction will be held Oct. 3 beginning at 9 a.m.

For those who’d like to take an advance look at the large inventory of merchandise, previews are available. Computers and electronics can be previewed on Sept. 26 beginning at 3:30, and vehicles and equipment are available for preview from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 2. 

Keystone State Auctioneers will be on hand at the Computer and Electronics Auction to auction off a large inventory of Macs, PCs, printers, audiovisual equipment, cameras, and other electronics.  

Ron Gilligan Auctioneering will facilitate the Vehicle and Equipment Auction, selling a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, including construction materials, tools, trailers, scrap metal, and sheds.  

The auctions are open to the public, and admission is free. Food will be available for purchase.  

All items are sold “as is” and sales are final. Penn State reserves the right to change the inventory as deemed necessary. Bidders can register with a valid photo ID (driver’s license, student ID, etc.). Cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa and debit cards are accepted forms of payment.

Lion Surplus is located on Services Road near the Katz Building on the University Park campus. The on-campus salvage store sells an always-changing inventory of used Penn State goods, including electronics, office furniture, cabinets, scientific equipment, and much more.
