UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — An exhibit, "Amir Aghareb Commercial Drone Photography: Why and How," will be on display Sept. 19–25 in the Borland Project Space on Penn State's University Park campus. The exhibit features aerial imagery and information about drone photography.

In this weeklong project, Amirmasoud Agharebparast, who graduated from Penn State with a master of fine arts in 2019 and is now adjunct lecturer in the Penn State School of Visual Arts, demystifies the process of obtaining certification from the Federal Aviation Administration to fly a commercial drone.

During the workshop, Aghareb will cover topics such as airport regulations, flight operations, and weather briefings, providing essential knowledge for anyone who wishes to prepare for the certification test.

This workshop is free and open to the public.

In addition, an FAA Certificate Workshop will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 24 to help educate attendees on how to properly prepare for the Unmanned Aircraft General exam. This event will be hosted in the Borland Project Space, 125 Borland Building, and is free and open to the public.

About the Borland Project Space
