Board of trustees meeting to be livestreamed

The Penn State Board of Trustees will hold its next public meeting Sept. 12-13 at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center at University Park. Public committee meetings will be held on Sept. 12 starting at 8 a.m. The full board will meet at 1 p.m. on Sept. 13. The meeting will be streamed live at http://wpsu.org/trustees/. National Hispanic Heritage Month

Penn State student organizations and units at campuses across the commonwealth will be holding events in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. Spark Program helps with fellowship applications

Second-year Penn State students may apply for the Spark Program, an eight-week series of workshops and mentoring to help students apply for fellowships. Workshops are Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. from Oct. 1 to Nov. 12 in the Mann Assembly Room, Paterno Library. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/2kmfRgM.

Police stress safety tactics

Penn State University Police and Public Safety reminds students, employees and visitors to become familiar with the Active Attacker Response Program to learn how to react to potentially life-threatening situations should they ever occur. For information, visit http://bit.ly/2ka58pv.
